During the past few decades our wealth, power, and importance has grown immensely. However, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in time where the general public has turned against us through the formation of Occupy Wall Street and the Tea Party movement. Furthermore, the government that we thought would protect our interests no longer sees us as too big to fail.
In this committee, we are one month out from the 2012 Presidential and General Election. You are expected to protect your industry’s interest in the new government by any means necessary. It is up to you to not let the Occupy Wall Street movement and the plethora of new and old politicians promising a return from Wall Street to Main Street from chipping away at your power. This committee will be heavily focused on portfolio powers so I implore you to learn your positions and their powers well. It is up to this committee to protect the ‘corpocracy’ as we know it. You will be presented with a number of difficult choices throughout this committee: from trusting the other members of the body, to knowing which politician is worth your financial support, and the ultimate question. Will the country fall back into the socialist hands of redistributed wealth and extreme taxes or finally reach our goal of the perfect plutocracy?
Be prepared to win it all and become the most powerful industry in the world, or watch as your fortune disappears only to be redistributed to the waste that is the 99% movement. Expect to live life for a weekend as one of the wealthiest Americans. This will be a committee that pushes your ideals and ethics as we debate from the percent so few of us know. Get ready for intense debate, backstabbing through portfolio powers, corporate greed at its finest, and crushing the competition to create the perfect future for the industries represented in the committee.
