Hello Delegates,
My name is Garrett Gourley. I am a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering. I am also in the Navy ROTC here at Penn State and hope to go into aviation after graduation. I have participated in Model United Nations since I was a freshman in high school. I was the President of our World Affairs Club and won Best Delegate at Duquesne’s Model UN Conference. I may only be a freshman chairing but I am a fast learner and hopefully you all will be able to teach me a few things to use in my long future as part of PUNC.
I will be the chair for The Ark committee. This committee is designated as top secret and I will not be disclosing any further information. My crisis team will be dishing out crisis after crisis, throwing in a few curve balls as it were. All I will say is that all delegates must be prepared for anything, and I mean anything. I plan to make this committee very enjoyable and fun. There will be set guidelines of course, but my chairing style will not be so strict.
Taking my experience from high school chairing I will make this secret committee something to remember and truly test your ability as delegates to understand your characters and what actions you will truly be willing to take. Prepare yourselves. If you need to contact me about any questions you may have feel free to do so.
Yours truly,
Chair Gourley
